The Camaitiiru, a feline race from planet Charan, are among the most scientifically advanced peoples in the known galaxy, perhaps even rivaling the Endri-nâi. They are, however, short-lived, generally having a lifespan of only 50–60 years.

They are among the only members of the Illanian Star Republic whose worlds do not have a significant presence of the Sarali language, as they were never part of the Empire.
