Currency

A currency is an accepted monetary exchange unit.

While there is no universally-accepted currency across all planets, there are typically currency exchanges at major cities and spaceports on each world and space station. Barter is also a common method of commerce, as it avoids any currency exchange.

All worlds in the Rel-danii Alliance of Planets use the rumma as the standard currency. While each member world of the Illanian Star Republic is required to accept the Illanian nuar, they are also allowed to maintain their own currencies, such as the Garrian umek, the Camaitiiru qoosma, and the Cantarrian althka. The Endri-nâi Confederation planets also each may have different currencies on-world; off-world, however, they will all use the dûn, which is sometimes accepted without exchange at spaceports even in the Alliance and Republic. The Buarrians and Garrians living on Bitarra/New Garr use the kuarek as a common currency. The Lächyr of Morhwyn use the hwylla. The Röa of Anarrh use the krienh.
